Two Heads Hot Honey Biscuits

Two Heads Hot Honey makes everything better, especially these hot honey biscuits. They're warm and buttery with a touch of sweet heat in every bite. Better bee-lieve these are delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. butter

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour

  • 4 tsp. baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 2 tsp. sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F.

  2. Melt butter in a small saucepan.

  3. Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, cream of tartar in a large bowl. Work in the shortening with a fork, until the mixture resembles and feels like cornmeal. Add milk, and mix well.

  4. Knead the dough about 12 to 15 times, and then break it into 1/3-cup-size balls. Roll or pat out dough balls to ½-inch thickness, and place on baking sheet.

  5. Brush each biscuit with melted butter, and bake at 450°F for 10 to 12 minutes.

  6. While the biscuits are baking, add honey into the remainder of the butter and bring it to a boil. Remove from the heat and set aside.

  7. When biscuits are done, remove them from the oven and immediately brush the tops with honey butter.

Yield: ~10 biscuits
